Filics Streamliner in motion

Ninety seconds that show how it really works: the synchronization between the two runners, the picking of the pallet, the incredible ability to maneuver in tight spaces and the complete integration into existing flows, without the need for infrastructure.

The challenge

When transportation becomes the bottleneck.

The production capacity of a line does not depend exclusively on the cycle time of the machines, but also on the availability of raw materials, components, semi-finished products and finished products at the points where they are needed, when they are needed.

The handling of materials is entrusted to forklifts and dedicated operators. Although it is a consolidated and flexible solution, it can generate inefficiencies related to transport times, waiting times, necessary maneuvers in confined spaces and the availability of operators.

As production volumes increase, these activities can turn into a real bottleneck, influencing the continuity of the process and the use of available resources.

Common Challenges

  • Handling times are not always predictable

  • Internal traffic and interference with production activities

  • Use of personnel for low-value-added activities

  • Need for large maneuvering areas and dedicated lanes

  • Difficulty in monitoring and tracing material flows

The solution

Two Units. A New Way to Move Pallets.

Filics Streamliner is an autonomous pallet handling system composed of two runners that operate in synchrony.

The two units are positioned under the pallet, lift it and transport it directly to the requested destination, reducing the need for manoeuvres, repositioning and spaces dedicated to transport.

Thanks to its compact structure it can operate in existing environments, narrow corridors and consolidated layouts.

Automation where space is no longer a limit, but a resource.

Filics Streamliner allows you to automate pallet transport by improving existing flows and making the most of available spaces, integrating with production, warehouse and intralogistics.

Why Filics

Six reasons to choose
Filics Streamliner.

Maximum Space Efficiency

Minimum bending radius, small footprint, operation in the narrowest aisles. Multiple pallets on the same surface, without dedicated parking or charging areas.

Flexible scalability

Small size and weight make it easy to expand or reduce your fleet based on peaks. Integration, transport and adaptation with minimal logistical effort.

Compatibility with various pallets

It fits underneath and transports different types of load units: EPAL, H1, gitterbox and other open structure containers. Single hardware platform, less operational complexity.

Direct handling operations. No detours.

No 180° maneuvers or rotations. Pallet entry and exit capability from both sides: shorter paths, faster processes.

Optimal accessibility to the pallet

Lifting from below: the pallet remains accessible from all sides. No forced frontal orientation — more flexibility and better ergonomics for operators.

Parallel operation

The small size allows the simultaneous use of multiple vehicles in the same lanes. Material that moves in parallel, without infrastructure expansion.

Frequently asked questions

Filics is a technology company founded in Munich in 2019, specializing in autonomous intralogistics.
Born within the Technical University of Munich (TUM), Filics develops innovative solutions for the automated transport of materials in the industrial sector from its headquarters in Munich, with the Filics Streamliner as its flagship product.
The name "Filics" recalls the concept of "Future in Logistics" and reflects the company's vision of leading the evolution of intralogistics of the future.
Today Filics employs more than 50 people at its headquarters in Munich and across Europe. In 2025, important international investors have chosen to support Filics' growth with significant investments, confirming their confidence in the company's prospects and vision and further accelerating its development.
Since July 2026 Oniro Solutions has been an Italian partner for the resale and implementation of Filics products.

The Filics Streamliner is produced at the company's headquarters in Munich. The main components, including drivers, motors and chassis come from market-leading German manufacturers.

The Filics Streamliner (consisting of two robotic runners) transports loads of up to 800 kg. An increase in maximum payload is planned for future releases.

Technical specifications, performance data and requirements for minimum and ideal aisle widths are all available in our Streamliner Data Sheet Files.

The Filics Streamliner is specifically designed for the EPAL standard and currently supports EPAL and H1 pallets. The range of supported load units is constantly expanding, so as to also allow the transport of other types of supports in the future.

The Filics Streamliner adapts to existing infrastructures and does not require significant implementation interventions.
It is designed for indoor use and requires smooth, level floors as well as stable WLAN coverage throughout the operating area.

Transport orders can be created via an intuitive and easy-to-use interface accessible from any device, with just a few simple steps.
Integration with a WMS and/or internal management system is envisaged as an implementation. Furthermore, the Filics Streamliner supports operating modes based on predefined cyclic routes (Milk Run): the vehicle regularly travels through established areas and, when necessary, transports the pallets to the intended destination.

Yes. Through the Filics interface, users can create new transport orders, define pick-up and delivery areas directly on the map and configure handling routes.
The interface, intuitive and accessible via browser from any device, does not require programming skills.
The settings can be changed at any time and independently. If necessary, the Oniro Solutions and Filics support team is always available to provide assistance.

Yes, Filics Streamliner already supports several features of the VDA 5050 standard. Full compliance with the standard is currently under development.

The Filics Streamliner autonomously heads to the charging station when needed or when there are no pending orders. A full charge takes approximately 30 minutes. Depending on the weight of the load and the application, operation of up to 6 hours per single charge is possible.

Our robots use lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO₄) batteries. This battery technology is considered significantly safer than conventional lithium-ion batteries: it is particularly thermally stable and presents a considerably lower fire risk, even if it were to be mechanically damaged.
Furthermore, damage to the batteries is made even more unlikely thanks to the system's robust steel frame.
For these reasons the Streamliner offers the highest level of safety.

The Filics Streamliner meets all safety requirements of DIN EN ISO 3691-4 and is CE certified.
It is equipped with Blue Spot, LED indicator lights, acoustic signals and sensors for detecting the surrounding environment, which guarantee safe interaction between the vehicle and the operators present in the work area.

If a person or object is in the path of the vehicles, they reduce their speed according to the travel speed. In any case, they come to a complete stop at a maximum distance of 10 cm from the obstacle. As soon as the route becomes clear, the vehicles automatically resume movement.

Yes. Through the system plan available in the software, it is possible to define specific areas, such as pedestrian crossings, intersections or danger zones. For each area it is possible to establish whether Filics robots should slow down, avoid stopping within the area (for example near fire doors) or not access it at all (for example near stairwells or other dedicated operational areas).

The Streamliner operates entirely within the customer's network and all control logic is processed directly on board the vehicle. As a result, operational data never leaves the corporate environment and the customer maintains full control over access, interfaces and security standards, in accordance with their internal policies.
Furthermore, Filics is already prepared to meet the requirements of the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), ensuring that the system continues to respond to growing regulatory and cybersecurity requirements in the future.

Yes. Oniro Solutions, as an official Filics partner, manages assistance on Italian territory, maintenance and implementation with qualified personnel.

Depending on the application and model, a return on investment can be achieved in approximately 12-18 months.

The Filics Streamliner is available for both purchase and rental. A leasing option is currently in the planning stage and will be offered in the future. For further information, please contact us via our contact form

No. For safety reasons, the load must remain within the dimensions of the pallet. Overhanging loads are not covered by the Streamliner's safety system and should not be used.

Filics Streamliner can handle pallets with wrapped loads, as long as the lower part of the pallet remains free of films or packaging materials that could hinder correct picking.

Not currently.
Filics Streamliner was designed as a double runner system: two units operate in synchronization to handle Euro pallets and load units of comparable size.
The coordinated use of four, six or more units for the movement of particularly large or heavy loads is theoretically possible and represents a potential future evolution of the platform, but is not currently among the available functions.
The developments expected in the short term are instead aimed at expanding the range of manageable load supports, introducing the possibility of moving half pallets and small trolleys using a single unit.

No. The Filics Streamliner is designed for use in enclosed spaces and internal structures only. Outdoor operation is not supported.
